SecureFX meets your evolving file transfer needs with a single application that lets you choose between SFTP
using an encrypted SSH2 connection or FTP over SSL (TLS) for secure transfers, or standard FTP for nonsecure
transfers. It has a simple Explorer-like interface, so it's easy to learn and use while offering powerful
automation capabilities for unattended, secure file transfers.

SecureFX makes it easier than ever to perform secure file transfers, whether you use the drag-and-drop
capabilities to transfer files by dragging or pasting to Windows Explorer and other applications or take
advantage of SecureFX's automation features for unattended file transfers.

SecureFX 4.5 introduces new time-saving features, transfer queue enhancements, and support for Windows Vista.
Automatically connect multiple sessions or folders on startup using the new auto session capabilities. Drag and
drop files to the transfer queue and control the appearance of the transfer queue window. Integration with
SecureCRT® is improved with password caching and the ability to launch SecureCRT from a toolbar button.

New productivity enhancements:

* Improved auto session: With "Use auto session" enabled, you can now select a single session, multiple
sessions, or folders of sessions to automatically connect on startup.
* Cache passwords: SSH2 session passwords can be cached like passphrases. SecureCRT and SecureFX can share
passwords while either application or the Activator utility is running.
* Improved integration with SecureCRT: A new toolbar button lets you launch SecureCRT from within SecureFX. If
the current session specifies a terminal protocol, that session will open in SecureCRT.

Transfer queue enhancements:

* Drag and drop files to the transfer queue: SecureFX now supports dragging files to the transfer queue.
* Control appearance of the transfer queue window: You can now resize the transfer queue window and hide and
show columns.

Support for OpenSSH format keys: You can now generate keys in OpenSSH format or convert existing VanDyke
Software format private keys to OpenSSH format, allowing you to use the same keys with other Secure Shell
clients.

Support for zlib@openssh.com compression: When zlib@openssh.com compression is specified, compression starts
after authentication, preventing unencrypted passwords from being cached by the zlib library.

Windows Vista support: SecureFX has been tested under Windows Vista, so when you are ready to move to Vista,
SecureFX will be compatible.

* Drag and drop: SecureFX allows you to drag and drop (or copy and paste) files to and from Windows Explorer,
the desktop, and other applications (e.g., WinZip), letting you transfer files more easily.
* Integration with SecureCRT: SecureFX and SecureCRT can share the global options, session options, and the
host key database so you only need to perform operations like setting application defaults, sessions settings,
or accepting a server's host key once. Logon is simplified with password and passphrase caching, which allow
both application to share passwords and passphrases while either application or the Activator utility is
running. You can launch either application from a Toolbar button, and SecureFX will automatically open a
session in SecureCRT if that session specifies a terminal protocol.
* Multi-file transfers: Support for resuming multiple-file transfers. All remaining files in the transfer list
are completed after a broken connection is reestablished.
* File permission tools: Support for changing permissions on multiple files at once. When connected to VShell®
for Windows version 2.2 or higher, the Properties dialog for the remote file or folder has a Security tab that
allows ACL permissions to be viewed.
* FIPS 140-2 support: When the administrative option to run in "FIPS Mode" is set, SecureFX uses a FIPS 140-2
validated cryptographic library and only allows FIPS-approved algorithms.

Changes in SecureFX 6.2

Bug fixes:

- SecureFX crashed if the File menu was selected after the menu
bar was reset to Default from the Menus tab in the Customize
menu.
- When generating a public key in the Key Generation wizard, the
progress bar was not displayed until after the key had been
generated.
- Three-year licenses were not being honored.
- In the Connect dialog, when a new folder was added, a folder
called "New Folder" was also added.
- In the Connect dialog, attempting to rename a session to the same
name as its parent folder reported an error that the name was
already in use.
- After pasting a copied session into a folder in the Connect
dialog, the folder was selected.
- SSH2: Attempting to authenticate using GSSAPI with the 64-bit
MIT Kerberos DLL failed.
